Fact: Do you know that a primary grape used in most Champagne is the Chardonnay grape? At Kirk's Korner we have a nice selection of French wines in our wooden, lay-down cabinets. We carry both reds and whites for your discriminating taste that will be sure to tickle your taste buds! France has long been famous for its wine regions and the unique flavor of the grape from its soil and climate. Some of the more famous regions are: Champagne, Alsace', Burgundy, Loire Valley, Rhone Valley, Bordeaux and South France. The Chardonnay grape is grown in many different countries, soils and climate - all which give the variety a different and unique flavor. The world's most popular white grape is the Chardonnay. It is the main grape in burgundy and plays a crucial role in champagne. The Chardonnay grape generally makes a full-bodied, drier white wine; but, its flavor varies dramatically from crisp and steely to intense and tropical, depending upon where it is planted and the techniques used in wine making. The most intense flavors come from California, Chile, Australia and France. Come to Kirk's Korner and choose the Chardonnay of your choice as we have numerous selections from the price conscience to the more rare varieties and, of course, from all regions of the world! --Tom
